Police Find Marijauna Growing In Basement

(BROWNSTOWN) - 53-year-old David Hamilton was arrested Monday after police discovered several marijuana plants growing in the basement of a home in Brownstown.

According to a press release from Jackson County Officer Jeff Walters, Hamilton was arrested on preliminary charges of cultivating marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of meth.

Walters was arrested after police received an anonymous tip and police went to Hamilton's home in the 1300 block of West Commerce Street in Brownstown.

While there police found marijuana plants growing in the basement and several pieces of drug paraphernalia and meth.

Hamilton was booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 2: 43 p. m. Monday and was released after posting a $1,005 bond.
