(BLOOMINGTON) - Police continued to search an area near the Monroe County Airport on Airport Road for human remains based on information from William Clyde Gibson, who is charged with killing two women.
"I know they had some cadaver dogs here and they sniffed around," said Ryan Stringer, who owns the farm where police searched.
Friday was the second straight day that detectives and dog handlers have searched around Stringer's property.
Stringer says investigators didn't actually dig up an area.
"I didn't see where they dug anywhere, but there are weeds and things that are pushed down. They went back in there about 20 feet," he said.
Police were led to the property by suspected serial killer William Gibson of New Albany, who is charged in two women's murders and suspected in a third.
"I was told by a detective that he could have possibly put a body on the property. He (Gibson) told them this location and said there was a red building, a red barn with kind of an overhang and an outbuilding in the field behind that and that's what I have," Stringer added.
Police say the evidence, if any is found on the farm, is not linked to the disappearance of missing IU student Lauren Spierer.
Police did tell Stringer that the evidence they are looking for if placed on his farm is from two years ago.
"But they didn't tell me what time of year or anything else," Stringer added. "It does bother me they are searching the farm and there possibly could be remains here, but if there are remains here they find it so the person's family can have closure."
In New Albany police continue to search Gibson's home and backyard, where they discovered the remains of Stephanie Marie Kirk, 35, of Charlestown, on April 27. Kirk had been missing for a month, and was reportedly headed to a bar to meet a man when she disappeared, according to the Associated Press.
Gibson has been charged with the murder of a 75-year-old friend of his mother's, Christine Whitis of Clarksville, who was found dead April 19 in Gibson's home.
He has also been charged in the 2002 death of Florida hairdresser Karen Hodella, 44, whose body was found near the Ohio River in 2003.
