(UNDATED) - The Drug Task Force served 10 warrants this morning in Lawrence County.
Officers from Lawrence County and the Bedford Police Department were assisted by Mitchell Police officers in serving the warrants.
Officers gathered at the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department around 4 a.m. this morning to hit the streets.
"These investigations have been going on since last fall. Investigators from our Drug Task Force and Bedford Police Department Task Force work together to gather the information and evidence and then we asked for the warrants" says Lawrence County Sherriff Sam Craig. "10 warrants were served throughout the county and 10 people were arrested. This was a joint effort between us and Bedford with Mitchell Police officers assisting."
Officers on an arrest in Springville did deploy the county's Emergency Response Team and BPD's SWAT team, Craig said. The arrest, however, was made without incident.
Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says the departments work well together.
"We have a common goal, to take the drugs off the streets," Parsley says. "
