(JASONVILLE) - 90-year-old Iris Peavey, of Jasonville, who was reported missing Wednesday morning, was found in Putnam County.

Peavey was reported missing by her family at 6:45 a.m. She was found at 8 a.m. after police pulled her over.

Police were in the process of issuing a Silver Alert when Peavey was found.

According to police Peavey had been driving around for hours trying to find her way home.

Police stopped her vehicle in Reelsville after they received several 911 calls from motorist and an convenience market employee reporting a person in a green 2001 Mercury sedan was weaving in and out of traffic.

Police say Peavey was confused and told police she didn't know how to get home. Police took her back to the police station gave her some food and called family members.

Police say Peavey left home sometime during the night, but they are not sure when. Her husband called police when he discovered her missing Wednesday morning.
