Jackson County Looking For Senior Student For Distinguished Young Women

(SEYMOUR) - Distinguished Young Women of Jackson County (formerly known as Junior Miss) will be having a callout meeting from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 16 in the meeting room at Jackson County Public Library in Seymour.

This meeting is mandatory to anyone planning to participate.

Distinguished Young Women of Jackson County is open to all high school girls who will be entering their senior year.

There are five areas of competition: Scholastic, physical fitness, self expression, talent and interview.

More than $8,000 in scholarships will be awarded. The contest is Aug. 11.
