Five-Vehicle Wreck Leaves One Man Trapped In Car

(LINTON) - The Linton City Police worked a five-vehicle wreck about 3:30 p.m.Tuesday on State Road 54 at the stoplight in front of the entrance to Angell’s Shopping Center.

None of the names of the drivers or passengers involved were released by the police.

Nick Schneider, of the Greene County Daily World reports there were three trucks and two cars involved in the chain reaction crash.

Initial reports are that only one person may have been seriously injured - the driver of one of the cars, who was entrapped until he was extricated by first responders from the Linton Fire Department, Linton Rescue Unit and Greene County Ambulance Service.

The injured man was transported to Greene County General Hospital for treatment.

The Indiana State Police assisted at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen.
