Brain Games Kick-Off Tonight

(BEDFORD) - The 2012 edition of The Brian Games, presented by the Lawrence County Museum of History, will get under way tonight at the Little Theatre of Bedford at 6:30 p.m.

The Smokey Bear Corps will square off against Lineal Construction. They will be followed by Family Dental Care verses Steele & Steele at 6:55 p.m.; Bedford Laser Wash will verse Farm Bureau Insurance at 7:15 p.m. and Whitney Tool will take on Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home at 7:35 p.m.

Following a short break, Robert Herr for Coroner will square off against Pynco I at 8:05 p.m.; Bedford Federal Savings Bank will play Bedford Ford at 8:25 p.m.; JKI Engineering will take on on Premeier Plus Remodeling/Crane Federal Credit Union at 8:45 p.m.; and the final game of the night matches Hoosier Hills Credit Union against Pynco II.

The games will continue with opening- round action on Thursday. Second-round action begins on May 29 and the championship round will be on May 31, all at the Little Theatre of Bedford.

On Thursday, Sallee and Co. and NEDO/ASNE will start the night at 6:35 p.m., followed by Rotary Club of Bedford vs. GM Powertrain at 6:55 p.m.; then Day & Carter Mortuary and Tri-County Builders at 7:15 p.m.; and Cosner's Gun and Knife Shop vs. Maple Street Restaurant at 7:35 p.m.

Following a break, Indiana University Health will take on Little Theatre of Bedford at 8:05 p.m,; then the Bedford Lions Club will tackle Jason Jackson/Edward Jones at 8:25 p.m.; Lehigh Cement will meet Flinn Farms at 8:45 p.m., and Judge Michael Robbins will battle Monroe Shrine to close out the evening at 9:05 p.m.

Winners from the first two nights will continue play on May 29, with the winners on that night advancing to championship night.

Brain Games is an annual fundraiser for the Lawrence County Museum of History. All 32 teams have sponsors at this time but a few players are still needed to fill out a few teams. For information, call the museum at 278-8575.
