(BEDFORD) - A woman suffered minor injuries after a rear-end collision Tuesday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police report, 62-year-old Carlene G. Christiansen, of Bedford, was driving east on John Williams Boulevard Tuesday afternoon. She was in the right lane and approaching X Street.
She was following a 1998 Ford Ranger being driven by 47-year-old Penny D. Gillespie, of Bedford.
According to police a vehicle Gillespie was following veered suddenly to avoid a truck and trailer that was broken down and stopped in the right lane. Gillespie slammed on her brakes. Christiansen could not stop her 1996 Buick LeSabrein time and hit the rear of Gillespie's pickup.
Gillespie suffered minor bleeding to her elbow or lower arm.
