Bedford Police Investigating Altercation That Led To Accident

Last updated on Wednesday, May 16, 2012

(BEDFORD) - An altercation that started in the parking lot of Tropical Snow may have played a role in an accident on John Williams Boulevard Tuesday night.

According to police reports, when police arrived at the accident the injured men were laying in the roadway.

17-year-old Vincent Taylor Shelton, of Bedford and his passenger 18-year-old Joshua Harris, both of Bedford, complained of head pain.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers say the drivers gave conflicting stories on what happened to cause the crash.

Shelton gave police one story and the other driver involved 21-year-old Brandon Wells, of Bedford, gave another.

"There seems to be a problem between the two men and that led to the accident," Parsley said. "At this time, officers are still investigating what happened and possible criminal charges could be filed."

Parsley ask anyone with information about the accident or alleged altercations to contact the police department.
