(DUBOIS) - A rural Dubois woman injured in an ATV accident northwest of Dubois earlier this month has died.
75-year old Mary Schnell died Monday at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.
Schnell was a passenger in an all-terrain vehicle operated by her 38-year-old son Allen Schnell back on May 11th.
Allen Schnel told county deputies that a blue sports car traveling east on Dubois Road Northwest near State Road 545 road sped around a sharp corner and crossed the centerline, forcing him off the roadway and into a tree. Schnell told police sports car fled the scene traveling east toward 545.
The sheriff's department is still investigating the accident. Anyone with any information about the car is asked to call the sheriff's department at 482-3522.
