Two Oolitic Men Were Arrested After Home Searched

(OOLITIC) - Oolitic Police went to check on the welfare of a possible suicidal man at a home at 704 Walnut St. Thursday evening and when they arrived they found drugs.

Oolitic Deputy Marshal Bill Allen says roommates of the suicidal man gave police permission to search their home.

The suicidal man was taken by ambulance to IU Health Bedford Hospital.

Allen says police found a Schedule II controlled substance and pipes used for smoking marijuana.

Police arrested 10-year-old Darin S. Kinser and 22-year-old Justin Eads, both of Oolitic.

Kinser was charged with maintaining a common nuisance.

Eads was charged with maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of marijuana,less than 30 grams.

Assisting at the scene were Indiana State Police officers Greg Day and Daniel Crozier and Lawrence County Police Department officers Gerald McGee and Cody Medlock.
