Last updated on Monday, April 23, 2012

(BEDFORD) - Two people were arrested after they got into a confrontation with two male at a home in the 500 block of Sugar Hill Addition.

Police received a 911 call at 2:15 a.m. Sunday morning reporting an assault and that the man accused of the crime was drunk, had a gun and had left the home driving a Gold Pontiac. The vehicle was stopped a short time later by Indiana State Police, assisted by Monroe County Sheriff's Department.

Arrested were 21-year-old Sarah Meyers, of Bedford and 26-year-old Joshua Hollars, of Bloomington. Meyers was charged with battery causing bodily injury and Hollars was charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon.

According to Chief Deputy Mike Branham, Meyers and Hollars went to the home and got into an argument with two men.

"One of the men was hit in the eye and the other had an injury to his head. That man was taken to a hospital before police arrived by a friend," Branham said. "The men were also threatened with a knife, which police recovered at the scene."

There was also a window shot out of the trailer.

"Officers later discovered that the window was shot out with a pellet gun, not a firearm," Branham said. "But the damage did occur during the altercation."
