(ORLEANS) - The town of Orleans will begin a town wide spring clean sweep today through April 14th.
The Orleans Chamber of Commerce and Orleans Dogwood Festival Committee are asking local service organizations as well as groups like student volunteers, scouts and church youth groups to participate in the cleanup efforts by adopting an area of town to clean up.
Town officials will also be notifying owners of unkempt or rundown properties that need attention.
A large dumpster will be set up at the town garage for residents to place items of discard. Town crews will pick up large items that are placed at the curb. for more information contact the Orleans Town Hall.
