Last updated on Friday, April 20, 2012

(BROWNSTOWN) - Community Provisions will bring its mobile food pantry to Brownstown from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, April 23, in the parking lot of the former Family Dollar store.

During this time food, from Gleaners Food Bank in Indianapolis, will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

"The first mobile we did in Brownstown we saw over 300 families in two hours, so I've decided to bring them back to Brownstown hopefully once a month," said Paul Brock, director of Community Provisions. "I hope to reach those in the rural areas of Jackson County who need help."

The mobile pantry will also be in town during the same times on Thursday, May 24, and Thursday, June 21.

For more information contact Brock at 522-7079 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
