Last updated on Wednesday, April 11, 2012

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police are searching for a man who allegedly purchased desserts at Hartzell’s Homemade Ice Cream on North Dunn Street with fake money.

Bloomington Police Department Lt. Bill Parker says the man is in his mid-20s with dark hair and dark gray pants.

The man paid in cash, and a Hartzell's manager later identified the money as counterfeit.

Police will analyze video surveillance, Parker said, and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information should call the BPD at 812-339-4477.
