(BLOOMINGTON) - 24-year-old Sean Nelson, of Bloomington, was arrested just before 1 a.m. Wednesday after he attempted to steal a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken from a man who was walking on South Park Ridge Road.
Bloomington Lt. Bill Parker says Nelson approached the victim and demanded the bucket of chicken.
The victim refused and that is when Nelson attacked him. Eventually friends of Nelson pulled him off the victim.
The victim suffered a chipped tooth, ripped clothes and marks on his face and neck. The man was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
Nelson faces charges of battery, attempted robbery and resisting law enforcement.
