(BEDFORD) - The Salvation Army Hidden Falls Camp intends to participate in the 2012 USDA Summer Food Service Program, providing free and low-cost meals to eligible children who are registered campers at Hidden Falls Camp this summer.
Unlike a similar program at Bedford Middle School, this program is not open to the general public.
The guidelines for eligibility are consistent with the National School Lunch Program and are determined based on income criteria provided by campers with their registration forms. It is required that every camper have completed a summer food service program eligibility form.
Children who are part of households that receive food stamps, or benefits under the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations, or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families are automatically eligible.
Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
Meals will be provided to campers at Hidden Falls Camp during camp sessions as follows: breakfast -- 8:30-9 a.m.; lunch -- 12:30-1:15 p.m.; and dinner, 5:30-6:15 p.m. This schedule is subject to change as noted in the weekly camp schedule.
