Fire Damages Washington Home

(WASHINGTON) - An early Easter morning fire heavily damaged a house on Brett Cabel
Road in Washington.

At 5:07 a.m. Sunday morning, a neighbor called and reported a residential fire across the street at 705 Brett Cabel Road.

The caller said the fire looked to have started in the garage area but was spreading.

The Washington Fire Department called all off-duty firemen to report to the fire. The attached garage was destroyed and the house belonging to Aaron Archer was heavily damaged by the fire.

Archer jumped out a window to escape the blaze.

Heat from the fire damaged siding on the home and property next door at 703 Brett Cable Road belonging to Gerald and Michelle Heacock.

No injuries were reported.The cause of the fire and the actual extent of the damage are pending.
