Dan Terrell Offers Reward After Political Signs Damaged

Last updated on Monday, April 16, 2012

(MITCHELL) - Dan Terrell is offering a $1,000 reward to the person who leads police to the arrest of those responsible for damaging and stealing his political yard signs.

Terrell, former mayor of Mitchell and current candidate for Lawrence County Council, said he decided to offer the reward this morning after noticing 40 of his signs were stolen or damaged the previous night.

"Mine are the only ones being targeted," Terrell said. "It must be something really personal. They stole them out of my preacher's yard, my yard and my daughter's yard."

On Thursday, he replaced those that were damaged or stolen previously, and those were gone today. The vandalism and theft is centered around the city limits of Mitchell. He's reported the incident to police, but thought a reward would get someone's attention.

Anyone with information on the damage to the signs, can call Terrell at 797-1555 or the Mitchell Police Department at 849-2151.
