(BLOOMFIELD) - A 22-year-old Bloomfield woman was sentenced last week to 10 years in prison for a dealing methamphetamine conviction.
Nick Schneider, of the Greene County Daily World, reports Jessica Beall was sentenced Friday in Greene Superior Court as part of a negotiated plea agreement to 10 years in the Indiana Department of Correction, with four years suspended. This means she has a six-year executed sentence or three years of actual prison time for the class B felony dealing methamphetamine conviction.
Beall was given credit for 98 days already served.
She entered a negotiated plea agreement March 9 and the court ordered her to Rockville Correctional Facility for "safekeeping," according to court records.
Beall was ordered back to the Rockville Correctional Facility after her sentencing. Her earliest release date is set for Jan. 12, 2015.
Beall and two co-defendants -- Matthew Albert Ray Camden, 34, of Lyons, and 33-year-old Donald Hays, of Bloomfield -- were arrested Jan. 14 following a report of domestic dispute at Hays' residence.
An active meth lab was located in the home.
Hays was not at the residence when Bloomfield Police Department Reserve Deputy Marvin Holt went to investigate the domestic dispute complaint. However, Beall and Camden were there. While trying to find Hays in a bedroom, Holt observed a working meth lab sitting on a television.
Camden, who is charged with dealing methamphetamine-manufacturing, a class B felony, entered a negotiated plea agreement April 13 and his change-of-plea hearing is set for 10:30 a.m. on May 25.
Hays is charged with dealing methamphetamine-manufacture, a class B felony; strangulation, a class D felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a class D felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
He has a change-of-plea hearing set for 10:30 a.m. on May 11. Hays had a jury trial that was scheduled to start Tuesday.
Aside from the drug allegations, Hays is also accused of battery on his wife by striking her, kicking her, pulling her hair out and strangling her, according to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court.
