As part of the 57th annual celebration, Indiana's Soil and Water Conservation Districts will be highlighting the work Hoosier farmers do to protect our rivers, lakes and streams. Those who use excellent conservation practices can be honored for the River Friendly Farmer Award. The deadline is June 27th.

Deadline for Livestock Grants is Tuesday

Grants to support Indiana's vital livestock industry are still available. They include the Indiana Livestock Promotion Grant, Indiana Livestock Market Development Grant, and the new Youth Livestock Grant. The deadline for all grants is Tuesday. Office of Lt. Governor Becky Skillman accepting nominations for AgriVision Award

The Office of Lt. Governor Becky Skillman is currently accepting nominations for the annual AgriVision Award. Now in its sixth year, the award is given to a Hoosier who has demonstrated exemplary leadership to maximize the potential of Indiana agriculture. Click here for an AgriVision application.

Producers encouraged to join the new Indiana Grown Program

The new Indiana Grown program is underway. This is a cooperative effort among producers, processors, wholesalers, retailers and restaurants and the Indiana State Department of Agriculture to brand and promote Indiana produce and production. The goal is to help families easily identify and buy Indiana grown products.
