Last updated on Sunday, April 1, 2012

(COLUMBUS) - About 30 residents of Heritage Heights mobile home park were evacuated Saturday because of a gas leak, but were allowed to return about an hour later after the leak was fixed.

A home was being moved in the area of LaSalle and Perry drives when a gas line was struck, according to Maj. Todd Noblitt, spokesman for the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department.

Firefighters and sheriff's deputies evacuated residents a little before 11 a.m., as a precaution.

Vectren personnel needed about an hour to fix the leak.
