Washington Meth Lab Explodes Sending One To Hospital

(WASHINGTON) - A meth lab explosion sent one to the hospital and another to jail Thursday afternoon.

According to information from the Daviess County Sheriff's department, Libby Robinson was sent to Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis following a meth lab explosion at 1257N 650E, north of Montgomery.

Following an investigation, Derek Joe Strange, 25, Washington, was arrested for theft, possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of drug precursors, poession of paraphernalia, possession of a destructive device and possession of a legend drug.

He was taken to the Daviess County Security Center where he was being held without bond. Deputies said an investigation is continuing and further details will be released after it is completed.
