42-year-old John Hendricks and 36-year-old Barbara M. Ferguson were not immediately arrested for the forged prescription that was used in an attempt to obtain a controlled substance.

Store officials notified police and they were stopped as they left the store.

However, multiple outstanding arrest warrants put the pair behind bars.

Hendricks was arrested on a Greene County warrant charging him with two counts of burglary, theft and being a habitual offender. He is also wanted in Lawrence County for failure to appear on a public intoxication charge.

Ferguson, formerly of Bedford, is wanted in Hendricks County for failure to appear in court on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance. She is also wanted on warrants in Monroe County.
