(SEYMOUR) - A 61-year-old Seymour man was hospitalized Sunday after the motorcycle he was driving was involved in a wreck with a Scott County woman's vehicle on Seymour's west side.

According to a report from Sgt. Jack Swindell, Phillip D. Caudill complained of pain to the shoulder or upper arm area after the wreck, reported at 1:05 p.m. Sunday at Kasting Road, just south of Tipton Street.

Swindell reported Caudill was riding his 1986 Yamaha north on Kasting Road when Shannon M. Gross, 43, of Austin pulled out of a parking lot from a business in the 1200 block of West Tipton Street onto Kasting Road.

Caudill was thrown from his cycle by the impact of Gross' 2006 Nissan Altima hitting his motorcycle.

Swindell said Gross, who was not cited, told police she did not see Caudill's motorcycle before pulling out.
