(SALEM) - The West Washington boys' and girls' basketball teams each had one member recognized for their outstanding play by the Patoka Lake Athletic Conference.

Sophomore Shelby Springer earned All-Conference honors for her contributions during the Lady Senators' most successful conference season in recent memory.

Springer helped lead WW to PLAC wins over Crawford County, Springs Valley and Orleans after the Lady Senators had gone roughly a decade without a single conference victory.

Senior Clayton Sullivan was name All-Conference from the boys' team.

He was the Senators primary scoring threat for the bulk of the season and helped WW to a 9-13 record overall.

The team finished 1-5 in conference play along with Springs Valley and Mitchell. Crawford County, Orleans and Perry Central all finished 5-1 in the PLAC, with Paoli in the middle of the pack at 3-3.
