Relay For Life Needs Sponsors

Last updated on Friday, March 30, 2012

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society are asking local companies to help support the fight against cancer in their communities by becoming sponsors of Relay For Life.

Options for corporate sponsorship include forming a Relay team; providing in-kind donations of goods; purchasing event sponsor signs for track display; encouraging employees to volunteer; and collecting Relay donations at places of business.

Relay for Life, the world's largest grassroots fundraising movement, continues to grow as tens of thousands of people will participate in Relay events across Indiana.

Lawrence County Relay For Life will be June 15, starting at 6 p.m. Individuals and teams camp out at Parkview track, with the goal of keeping at least one team member on the track at all times throughout the evening.

Teams do most of their fundraising prior to the event, but some teams also hold creative fundraisers at their camp sites during Relay.

Businesses and individuals that would like to help the American Cancer Society can call 1-800-227-2345 or visit www.RelayForLife.org/lawrencecountyin.
