(OOLITIC) - Oolitic’s 34-year-old Carman Cavezza will be heading to Chicago Saturday to audition for the television show “The Voice” which airs on Monday nights.
The show features celebrity coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. She must sing three songs, two a cappella and one with an accompaniment.
Cavezza, who works at Cook Inc. is no stranger to the stage. She performs at weddings, sporting events and won the first ever Lawrence County Idol competition.
She submitted an application for the audition online and received an email confirming her audition on Saturday. The audition is like those for American Idol. Cavezza tried out for that show in Chicago in 2005, but didn't make the cut.
