Mitchell Man Escapes Injury After Flipping Truck

Last updated on Monday, March 26, 2012

(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man rolled his truck after skidding on wet road.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 21-year-old Ryan Onley, of Mitchell, was traveling north on Noe Road near Eagleview Road on Friday night, when he entered the curve at a high-rate of speed and when he applied his brakes, his truck went into a skid.

Police say Onley's 2001 Ford Ranger spun all the way around and then went off the east side of the road hitting a driveway marker, a cut off pole, in the yard of Samuel Arp. The truck then flipped on the driver's side.

Onley was not injured in the crash, but did tell police he was driving too fast.
