(SEYMOUR) - A 31-year-old Franklin man was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle five miles north of Seymour.

Eyewitnesses report that Zebadiah Phagan, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, struck an information sign before being ejected off of the motorcycle.

Phagan was taken to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour where he later died. Northbound lanes of the interstate were closed for a half-hour while crews cleaned up the scene.
