Johnson County Man Accused Of Bigamy

Last updated on Friday, March 23, 2012

(EDINBURGH) - An Edinburgh man is accused of being married to two women at the same time.

Police say Raymond Penrod, 37, married a woman in Las Vegas while he was still married to his wife.

His new wife told police that all three people were living together and that they had planned to be polygamists.

Penrod's first wife called police after filing divorce papers in February, but it was never finalized.

She also told police that they separated in December after she learned of his relationship with the other woman, and that's why she filed for divorce.

Penrod was taken to the Johnson County jail, where he was being held on a $3,000 bond.
