Bicknell Man's Death Ruled Accidental

Last updated on Friday, March 16, 2012

(EMISON) - The death of 19-year-old Clinton S. Hamilton of Bicknell has been ruled accidental according to Knox County Sheriff’s Department Det. Mike Fisher.

An autopsy was performed Monday afternoon by forensic pathologist Dr. John Heidinsfelder of Evansville, and Fisher said the pathologist found no evidence of foul play.

Hamilton was reported missing after his truck stalled in floodwaters on CR 200W, west of Emison, on Dec. 11, 2011. Authorities checked hospitals, and numerous searches were conducted by law enforcement, family, friends and volunteers in the weeks since.

Hamilton's remains were found Sunday, three months to the day after his disappearance, in a corn field about three-quarters of a mile from where his truck stalled.
