Last updated on Wednesday, March 21, 2012

(BLOOMINGTON) - An argument over who was going to bathe a child culminated in a physical altercation and the arrest of a Bloomington man for battery and strangulation.

24-year-old William A. White was booked into the Monroe County Jail early Sunday morning on preliminary charges of domestic battery and strangulation. His bond was set at $4,000 surety and $500 cash.

According to a police report, a woman living in the 2400 block of Winslow Court called 911 about 1:30 a.m. to report that during an argument, White, the father of her child, began choking her and also slammed her against the apartment wall. Police found White walking nearby and arrested him.
