40 Cats Found In Linton Home

Last updated on Wednesday, March 14, 2012

(LINTON) - Linton City Council members are purposing changes to the city’s current animal ordinance after more than 40 cats were found in a woman’s home.

Linton City Council President Tony Richards says the cats were found after police went to the home to do a welfare check and found the extensive collection of felines.

Police chief Troy Jerrell agreed with council members that the animals could present a serious potential health threat, but there was not much he could do because the present regulations limit city residents to three adult dogs, but there is no such limit on cats.
