Three Arrested In Bloomington By Excise Police

(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana State Excise Police officers arrested three people on a variety of charges, including dealing marijuana, after a traffic stop in Bloomington Saturday night.

Shortly after 10:00 pm., Excise officers stopped a vehicle leaving Big Red Liquors, on North College Avenue, after passengers in the vehicle bought beer and liquor.

When they approached the car, officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the car.

One of the passengers 20-year-old Glenn McCullough, of Indianapolis, told police that he sold marijuana and had recently purchased some at a home on the west side of Indianapolis. He told police he brought the marijuana to Bloomington to sell to several of his college friends.

He was charged with illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage and possession and dealing marijuana.

Another passenger, 21-year-old Nicholas Blevins, of Avon, who had purchased alcohol at Big Red Liquors, was also found with marijuana. He was charged with possession of marijuana and inducing a minor to possess an alcoholic beverage.

The driver, 20-year-old Tabitha Sullivan, of Indianapolis, who had also been drinking, was charged with the illegal transportation of an alcoholic beverage.

Since February 6th, Excise police officers have issued more than 300 tickets in Bloomington, including more than 100 for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol.
