(HUNTINGBURG) - A Shoals man is in police custody on auto theft charges.
Huntingburg police say a 2003 four-door Pontiac Grand AM was stolen late Saturday night in the 1000 block of North Main Street. With the help of the car's owner, a suspect, 31-year old Jeffrey Davis was quickly identified.
Huntingburg police notified Martin County authorities to be on the lookout for Davis and the stolen car. About an hour later, Davis was arrested by Martin County authorities and returned to Dubois County without incident.
He faces a class D felony count of auto theft.
