(MARTINSVILLE) - One person is dead following a crash involving a moped Wednesday night in Martinsville.
Police closed the State Road 39 Bypass for nearly two hours while officers investigated a fatal accident.
Officers responded to the intersection of State Road 39 and Mitchell Street around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on the report of an accident involving a moped and a car.
The victim's name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
More information is expected to be released later today.
