Needmore Couple Arrested After Police Find Meth Lab

(NEEDMORE) - A Needmore couple was arrested Saturday after police found a meth lab in their home. The couple’s three children were also at the home.

Arrested were 32-year-old Shane Dunkelbarger and his wife 33-year-old Leslie Dunkelbarger. Both were charged with Both were charged with manufacturing meth, possession of meth, neglect of a dependent and reckless possession of paraphernalia.

Oolitic Police Department K-9 officer Bill Allen says police received a tip that the couple were making meth. Police went to the home in the 300 block of Kentucky Hollow Road around 6:30 p.m. There they found a one-pot meth lab inside the home. Leslie was arrested at the home, her husband was later arrested at his place of employment.

Allen says the Department of Children's Services were called and the children, ages 12, 8, and 6 were released to family members.

The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab disposed of the meth lab. Assisting at the scene were Oolitic Reserve officer Jeff Franklin and ISP Trooper Josh Allen.
