(BEDFORD) - Needmore Girl Scout Troop No. 02621 will have an indoor and drive-through cookie booth at Tractor Supply in the JayC Plus shopping plaza from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The money gathered will be given to sponsor pets from the local animal shelter. The troop consists of 17 second-grade girls.

They decided to use all their cookie profits from this sale to pay the adoption fees for the animals that have been at the shelter the longest.

They also will collect new and used pet items to donate to the shelter, and all animals who visit the sale with their owners will get a special treat.

The girls also will sell cookies that will be put into care packages and sent to armed forces members overseas, said troop leader Crystal Sanders.

A booth will be set up in the store for shoppers, and a drive-through booth will be set up in the parking lot.
