Last updated on Tuesday, February 14, 2012

(BLOOMINGTON) - The Monroe County Clerk’s Office will receive $25,000 from the Indiana Secretary of State Office.

This grant will continue to fund the Help America Vote Act in Monroe County.

The funds will be used to purchase 30 Franklin voting booths which can provide space for about 120 voters.

The booths will be handicap-accessible and wheelchair-accessible. The booths can be easily set up by poll workers.

Currently used in six Indiana counties, the booths accommodate both paper and electronic voting machines.
