Martinsville Schools Increase Security After Break-Ins

(MARTINSVILLE) - The Martinsville school board has approved the purchase and installation of security panels at all Martinsville schools and buildings.

The board approved the purchase after four recent break-ins. Police say the four buildings that were broke into are Smith, Poston Road and Central elementary schools and North Family Center.

Assistant Superintendent of Business Randy Taylor says the security installations will be completed in all the schools by March 1st.
