According to Conservation officers, a 68-year-old man and 46-year-old woman were both thrown from an ATV when it veered from the roadway for some unknown reason.

Both suffered multiple injuries, including lacerations and head trauma. Both were flown by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. Neither rider was wearing a helmet or any safety equipment during the incident.
