Hoosier Uplands Offers Heating Bill Assistance

(UNDATED) - Hoosier Uplands continues to offer assistance with winter heating bills for low income residents of Lawrence, Orange, Martin and Washington Counties. If you haven’t received benefits this heating season, contact your local office.

All applications must apply in their county of residence. This service is provided through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program Block Grant, a federally funded grant through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Eligibility for the Energy Program will be limited to those households with a confirmed income at or below 150 percent of the office of Management and Budget Poverty Guidelines.

Appointments are scheduled on a first call schedule basis. Applications will be completed for all appointments and these applications will be funded as long as grant dollars are available.
