(NORMAN) - Jackson County Board of Commissioners recently approved an unofficial detour for local motorists traveling Indiana 58 between Kurtz and Norman.
County Roads Superintendent Warren Martin said the Indiana Department of Transportation plans to replace the bridge over Tipton Creek.
The unofficial detour will take motorists south on Possum Trot Road to County Road 375 North, west on County Road 375 (which turns into County Road 400 North) to County Road 1000 West, north on County Road 1000 West to County Road 450 North, west on County Road 450 North to County Road 1250 West and then north to Norman.
