(SHOALS) - The Martin County Chamber of Commerce honored Bill Whorral with the third annual “Gene Shaw Citizen of the Year” award.
He received the award for pictorial representation of the area in his books over the past several years.
Marie Hawkins nominated Whorrall for the award and introduced him by reading her nomination letter in which many of Whorrall's very impressive accomplishments were listed.
