Last updated on Monday, January 16, 2012

(UNDATED) - Terri Yingst Schlatter and her son Nathan have been missing for 27 years. Luella Potts has not seen or heard from her daughter since February 1985.

Terri, who turned 48 in November, her disappearance is tangled with her marriage to Fort Wayne native Darrell Schlatter, who is now deceased. He was accused of killing an ex-girlfriend and hung himself in jail in June 1993.

He and Terri lived in Oklahoma when she disappeared.

Family members say Terri was afraid of her husband and think she ran and hid for safety reasons. She was also going to turn states evidence against her husband in a bank fraud case.

The family has turned to Facebook to try and find answers they have posted a page asking for any information that may lead to information on their missing daughter.
