(ORLEANS) - Orleans’ newly elected officials were sworn into office Friday, December 30 during a brief public ceremony held at the Orleans Town Hall.
Presiding over the swearing-in ceremony was Orange County Superior Judge R. Michael
Cloud swore in the three town council members: Steve Lantis (Ward 1), Mike Fields, (Ward 2) and Ernie Sluss, (Ward 3). He then swore in Clerk-Treasurer Robert F. Henderson.
The town officials assumed their duties for the next four years beginning at Noon on New Year's Day.
There were a number of family, friends and supporters on hand to witness the event. Pastor Mike Hester of Orleans Wesleyan provided a prayer and a reception were held following the ceremony.
