(BLOOMFIELD) - An arrest has been made in a decade old Greene County child molestation case.
35-year-old Thomas "Tommy" Craighead, of Terre Haute and formerly of Linton, was charged with two counts of child molesting.
The arrest came following an investigation by the Linton Police Department and the Department of Child Services.
Craighead is currently incarcerated in the Vigo County Jail at Terre Haute on unrelated warrants.
The two alleged molestation incidents took place in November and December 2001 when Craighead lived in a Linton home. He was 25 at the time and the alleged victim was 5. She's 15 now.
The young girl was alleged to have lived with Craighead while her mother was out of the area in 2001, The girl alleges Craighead asked her to masturbate him twice. Craighead admitted to the charges during a Dec. 5, 2011 interview with police.
Police said there is no statute of limitations on this case because of the young age of the victim.
