Man Arrested After Police Find Items To Make Meth

Last updated on Tuesday, January 10, 2012

(AVOCA) - After receiving a tip, Oolitic Town Marshal Deputy Bill Allen and his police dog partner Shani went to a home Saturday.

During a search of the home, police found several items commonly used to make methamphetamine.

Police learned the items belonged to 43-year-old William Wigley, who was spending a few days at the home.

Wigley, who had been released from the jail on Jan. 3 on an unrelated matter, was booked back into the Lawrence County Security Center at 9:15 p.m. Saturday. He was charged with illegal possession of precursors, a Class D felony.

The Indiana Meth Suppression Team was called to remove the items from the residence. Officer Allen was assisted by Oolitic Reserve Officer Jeff Franklin and Indiana State Police Troopers Daniel Crozier and Shea Teague.
