Indiana Sheriff's Association Offers Scholarships

(MARTIN COUNTY) - Martin County Sheriff Rob Street announced that the Indiana Sheriff’s Association will again be awarding a college scholarship to qualified high school seniors or college students who are pursuing a degree in criminal justice.

There will be approximately 40 $500 scholarships awarded to students in the state.

To qualify for one of these scholarships, the applicant must be an Indiana resident, be a current member of the Indiana Sheriff' Association or dependent child or grandchild of a current member, attend an Indiana college or university, major in a law enforcement field and be enrolled as a full-time student.

Applications are available from high school counselors, the sheriff's office or by writing to the Indiana Sheriff's Association and requesting an application.

Applications must be completed and received by April 1.
